Description:
Writers Workshop is a place where student
writers can meet to read their writing, listen to their peers'
writing, and help each other become stronger in the craft.
I
encourage all writers to enter their writing to contests, submit to Fremd's Literary Magazine, and read at Writers Week and/or Palatine
Poetry Slams depending on each student's strength as a writer.
All types of writing are welcome -- poetry, performance poetry,
non-fiction prose, short stories, and novels. Papers
assigned in classes may also be read for the purposes of critiquing
ideas and content; however, this is not a venue for
proofreading and editing assignments.

Writers Workshop Meeting Dates 2011-2012
The majority of
meetings will be on Thursday after school at 3:00 pm in room 229
(unless
otherwise noted).
Please mark these dates on your calendar.
I will put announcements around the
building the week before meeting dates and email reminders to members as
well.
