Post Season Honors for Fremd Football

Senior linebacker
Jon Diegel was named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches
Association Class 8A All State team. He becomes the 14th
Viking to be named to the All State team and the ninth under Coach Mike
Donatucci. Diegel was also named the Mid Suburban League West Defensive
Player of the Year. Diegel becomes the eighth Viking to achieve that
honor and the seventh while playing for Coach Donatucci. Four Vikings
have also been named the MSL West Offensive Player of the Year, all
playing for Coach Donatucci.
Diegel joins fellow
seniors Andy Corso, Ben Perna and Mike Tauchman along with junior
Christian Lombard on the Daily Herald All Area team.
All conference
players for the Vikings were Diegel, Corso, Perna, Tauchman, Jeff Bobek,
Mike Gyetvay, Dane Keelan and Jimmy Norris. |
