Parent's and Student's Most Common Beliefs About the Applied Technology Department.

#1  "I cannot fit an Applied Technology class in my schedule."

#2   "Girls cannot take Applied Technology classes."

#3  "Applied Technology classes do not prepare you for college."

Belief #1  -   WRONG You WILL be surprised!  Please look at the Minimum Requirements for All Illinois State Universities Then Make up your mind.
 

Belief #2  -   WRONG

Compared to the 2008 - 2009 enrollment in Applied Technology courses, female enrollment for the 2009 - 2010 school year is up over 300%

 

Belief #3  -   WRONG

Applied Technology teachers demonstrate how to apply the information that is learned in their math, science and reading classes.  Practical application not only prepares you for college, it prepares you for life!
