I have been interested in art for pretty much my whole life now. I used to draw lot and take summer art classes when I was younger. I started getting into graphic design when I was about 14 years old. I was curious how digital images were made on websites and how different logos were designed on computers. Ever since then I’ve been hooked on graphic design and think about it all the time. This semester I’ve grown a lot in my capabilities as a digital artist. I’ve done things that I’ve never tried before and in return I’ve learned many things. The most important piece to me that I made this semester is The Astronaut. I never tried making something so complicated in PhotoShop and I think I ended up with a nice result. I learned a lot throughout the process of making the piece. Along with The Astronaut being my most important and favorite piece to me, it was also the most difficult. Getting the correct lighting and shading on the astronaut was a challenge and just creating the astronaut himself was a tough task.
