I was interested in art form a very early age, because my mom was always drawing or painting something beautiful in the spare bedroom of our house.  I started to learn how to draw and always loved my art class in elementary school.  It wasnÕt until seventh or eighth grade when I became fascinated with computers, and their inner workings.  I transferred my previous knowledge to computers, and enjoyed animation the most because it can tell a concise story, though still has to be interpreted on several levels.  The work IÕve done this semester shows improvement, but itÕs a long way off from being acceptable.  I hope to continue improving, though the coming semester might find me exploring the nuances of computer graphics rather than animation.  As for my pieces, the one entitled ŌHistoryĶ has the greatest amount of personal meaning because it is focused around one of my close friends.  His stance at the end was taken from a series of reference photos, as he does know how to use a sword and also works at the Bristol Renaissance Faire.  So the history is personal as well as archaeological.  The Lion King piece was the most difficult because it was for the copycat assignment.  The challenge of duplicating a scene from such a high quality film was a major headache, and took longer than one could imagine.  Overall, it was a very rewarding experience.
