I have been interested in art since I was in kindergarten. Like most kids when they are younger, I used to have coloring books. As time went on I started drawing my own pictures to color in and that’s when I became interested in art. I became interested in graphic design because I was very interested in learning how experts made really neat ads in magazines and billboards, so I started experimenting on my own. This semester I have really pushed myself to improve my skills and push my art to a new level, and the results were great. Next semester I hope to keep pushing myself to the next level and to create more interesting art pieces. The art piece that is most important to me is Heroes. I wanted to create something that would honor our soldiers all around the world that are keeping us safe back home. I wanted to depict that even though these people are fighting a war they still have family back home that are worrying about them every day. The piece that caused me the most difficulty was the Roger Brown “copy cat” piece. I created everything from scratch in Photo Shop. This was extremely difficult because of the time restraint and because I had to create another “copy cat” piece along with that one.
