Photo Final
Ashley Thompson
I got interested in art when I was in the fourth grade. I always enjoyed going to art class 2 days a week. Even though it wasnÕt photography, I was able to create something of my own and then present it to my family and hang it up on the refrigerator. When I was in 6th grade, my sister was in traditional photography at Fremd and I was always her model and had to do stupid poses. I hated it at the time, but when I looked at the pictures she took, it was really fascinating to me. Then I decided to take Photo 1 when I was a sophomore and used the same camera she used and I have loved it ever since. Looking at the pictures I took this semester, IÕm proud of what I have done and can see a major improvement from last year. I also take the time to actually think about what I want to shoot and where to go to get the best shots and I never used to do that before. Next semester, I think IÕm going to continue to think about different things I can shoot and try to be original. The most important picture to me is my number 4 picture, the picture of the shadowy room. ItÕs most important to me because I was with my two best friends and I like it a lot because itÕs eerie and has a run-down feel. The most difficult picture was the one of me in the kitchen. It was really hard to get the right exposure, and not having it too light or dark. ItÕs one of my favorite pieces because I spent so much time perfecting it.
