Lew received a B.A. in Art from Heidelberg College in 1977 as well as an Associates Degree from the American Academy of Art.  He worked as a graphic designer, art director, and media/ production manager for twenty years.  He has been an instructor at the American Academy of Art.  Presently he is an art teacher  at William Fremd High School.  Lew also teaches Art in the summer school program at Adlai Stevenson High School and teaches a watercolor class at the Mainstreet Art Center in Lake Zurich.

When time permits, Lew is in his studio painting  or drawing.  In the Fall of 2005, Lew exhibited in the Around the Coyote Fall Arts Festival and was chosen for the Curator’s Choice Exhibit.  He exhibited again at the Around the Coyote in 2006.  He has done a number of commissioned illustrations and paintings over the years.  For more examples of Lew’s work, please visit his website at www.lrhimages.com
