SS Minnow Island Charter Template Site

For this assignment, you are going to re-create your SS Minnow Web Site. The two sites should look the same with the same content. This time you are going to add a few things.

1) Content Pages

Create each of the blank pages: index.htm, skipper.htm, crew.htm, packages.htm, boat.htm. Put a 2 column, 1 row table in each page. Insert your pictures and text that will appear in the center of the page.

Then create an untitled.htm to start your template.

2) Template

You are going to create a template for the site. You should have one editable region. In this region you will put the text and picture. All the other graphics and text should be in their own layers.

3) Navigation Bar

Across the top, you are going to create a menu bar using the image in the rollover_images folder. There is an up state, over state, and down state for each of the links.

1) Create a layer for the Navigation Bar

2) Insert-Interactive Images-Navigation Bar

3) Give the Navigation Bar Element a name (Home), select each of the images, link to the proper page, make sure the Insert: is equal to horizontal

4) Select the + sign at the top and do the same for each of the other links. When done, click OK.

4) Apply the Template

When you are done with the template, save it as a template. Then make the center area the editable region. Now apply the template to the other pages in your site using the Asset panel.

All the other pages should look the same as your other site with the exception of the Navigation Bar at the top.
