Parents

Teachers can post grades through the new District Electronic Grade Book. Daily grades posted by teachers can be viewed by parents and students through Parent and D211 Student Access, respectively.

The frequency of grade posting is determined solely by the teacher. Not all teachers post grades.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a Parent Access username and password?

Usernames and passwords are mailed to parents prior to Open House.* Please don’t lose this information. First time users of Parent Access will receive usernames and passwords printed on report cards. Current users of Parent Access will only have their username printed on the report card. To have a password reset, please contact your student's Counselor. This will involve an initial verification of identity process that usually takes place during a phone call. Further identification may be necessary which may result in you making a visit to your school’s Student Services department. Please note, Counselors do not have access to current passwords.

*Residents new to the district should contact the Student Services Department at Fremd for help: 847.755.2630. (FAQ)

How do I get a Student Access username and password?

If you are a student, you can ask your teacher or your counselor for this information. This system is for you and not your parents as they have access to your grades through the Parent Access system. Teachers should not give usernames and passwords to parents as there may be custody issues associated with viewing a child's school related information. (FAQ)

Are Student and Parent Access passwords interchangeable?

No. Each password belongs to one username for only one of the Access systems. (FAQ)

How do I view grades posted by a teacher?

After you log-in, a student schedule will appear. You can click on an underlined course code shown on the student schedule to view grades posted for that course. Please remember, not all teachers post grades. (FAQ)

A password was not printed on my Open House letter or report card.

This means you or someone in your household has accessed the system previously. Please talk with a spouse or your student (s) to see if they have the password. If not, the password will have to be reset by your student's counselor. (FAQ)

I am new to the District and just moved in and it’s October. How do I get a username and password?

Parents should contact the Student Services Department at Fremd for help: 847.755.2630. This will involve an initial verification of identity process that usually takes place during a phone call. Further identification may be necessary which may result in you making a visit to your school’s Student Services department.
Students should be able to ask their teacher for log-in information to Student Access. Teachers should not provide a Student Access username/password to parents as there may be custody issues associated with viewing a child's school related information..
(FAQ)

Does my student's counselor or teacher have access to Parent Access or Student Access passwords?

Counselor can provide a username but they can only reset and issue a new password for Parent Access. This will involve an initial verification of identity process that usually takes place during a phone call by the parent. Further identification may be necessary which may result in you making a visit to your school’s Student Services department.
Teachers cannot supply any information about Parent Access but can provide the student with his/her current username and password. Parents should not be provided with Student Access username/password information as there may be custody issues associated with viewing student grades and other information by a parent.
(FAQ)

Can I choose my own username?

Families/students do not have the option of creating their own username. A username is automatically created for the family/student when a son or daughter is enrolled in the District. When issued, your username will consist of your last name plus four random numbers. (FAQ)

Can I change my password?

Yes. You will be prompted to change the D211 issued password to something more user friendly after the first login to Parent or Student Access using the initial username and password. Please write down and store this password in a location where such information is usually kept.
Parents may change their password by contacting your student's counselor. They will be able to reset it for you. When you log-in you will be prompted to create a new password. Before this is done, however, there will involve an initial verification of identity process that usually takes place during a phone call. Further identification may be necessary which may result in you making a visit to your school’s Student Services department.
(FAQ)

I have sole custody of my children but my former spouse does not. Can my spouse have a username and password?

Some custodial agreements have restrictions on visitation rights which can prohibit a former spouse from obtaining a username and password. Please contact your student's Counselor for more information. Issuance of a username and password will be made by the school at the time of the request. (FAQ)

I did not receive a report card.

Please contact your school’s registrar to obtain a copy. Parent Access, however, includes the same information as found on report cards. (FAQ)

I changed my email address. Can I update my Parent Access information to show this change?

Yes! Please use the demographic information section of Parent Access to make this change. This will automatically update the District data base. We thank you for helping us to keep records up-to-date. (FAQ)

Should you have additional questions, please contact your student's Counselor at Fremd, 847.755.2630.
