A Blog is combination of the prase Web log. Xanga, Facebook, and LiveJournal are all examples of blogs students can use to post their thoughts on virtually any topic. Friends are able to reply to postings with their own comments.

Now, blogs are finding their way into classrooms around the world as teachers explore the possibilites of this relatively new form of communication. From getting quiet, reserved students to participate to extending the classroom beyond the school walls, blogs are fast becoming a hot topic in education.
