Technology Resources for
Fremd Faculty and Staff

District 211 Technology Coaches are a group of dedicated individuals who are available to share their expertise in a wide variety of areas that involve technology integration. Technology Coaches are most effective when they are asked to:

• Observe classroom uses of technology and offer suggestions,

• Help teachers create more opportunities for students to learn and improve overall learning for students using technology. Technology Coaches can:

  • Help teachers create lessons that involve technology,
  • Help teachers search for teaching ideas using the web and other resources that involve technology in subject area(s), (Blogs, Nings, Wikis, Movie Maker, French TV, ESPN Math, etc.)
  • Allow teachers to see technology being used in their classrooms or those of other teachers (don't be afraid to ask a teacher to observe their classroom!),
  • Assist teachers to bring to fruition ideas they have for technology integration,

  Please be sure to use the HelpDesk system to report technical problems with classroom equipment, email, the DEG, Attendance, etc. Technology Coaches should not have to deal with these situations.

  No one is an expert in technology integration. This is still a relatively new aspect of teaching. Share the knowledge and reap the reward of better teaching and learning.

  Technology Coaches are not department specific. They can help any one in any department. Get to know your Technology Coaches!
