The
Technology Department
consists of seven dedicated individuals who
are here to support classroom technology needs.
While this site is designed mainly for teachers,
it can also serve to provide information and
links for students and parents depending upon
the area of interest. The links provided on the
left of this page provide quick, valuable
information. The right-hand column has
information for Parents.
We offer a wide range of
services and encourage you to visit us for
videos, DVDs, cameras, website help and anything
else related to technology. If we cannot help
you, we can certainly try to point you in the
proper direction to get help.
Blank media such as CD-R, CD-RW,
DVD and jump drives are available for purchase
from the cashier. Please see the Technology
Assistant, Cari Maila (x2761), for these items.
Movies
All movies can be checked out
for a three week period. You can view our vast
inventory on the Fremd Media Center online
Catalog. Don't see it? Ask and we will try to
accommodate your request. We can also borrow
media from other D211 schools. Please see
Patrick Giannopoulos (x2761) or Carol Hodek
(x2762) for check-out of these items.
Software
Microsoft Office is available
for installation on your home computer. Please
note that it is a violation of our license
agreement to let any individual other than a
District 211 employee use the software at home.
We have numerous catalogs
available with movies and software that we can
purchase. Please see Patrick Giannopoulos
(x2761)or Carol Hodek (x2762) for check-out of
these items.
Carol Hodek, x2762, maintains our two laptop
clusters for teacher check-out. We
encourage you come down and learn specifics
about the carts before a first time use. The
Edtech staff does not deliver carts to
classrooms. Please come down before your class
and obtain the cart.
Science, Foreign Language, Family and Consumer
Science, English, and Social Studies also have
carts available for their departments to use.
