Being an American	Entry Form	December 15, 2011	In an essay of no more than 1,000 words, discuss how the Constitution establishes and maintains a culture of liberty.
Letters About Literature	Entry Form	January 6, 2012	Have you ever felt the power and lift of literature? Has one book, or perhaps one author, inspired you to change your view of yourself or of your world? If so, we encourage you to enter this year's Letters About Literature writing competition. It's easy. All you have to do is write a personal letter to an author, explaining how his or her work affected you.
Fremd High School's Conspiracy	Entry Information	March 4, 2011	Submit any of your writing to Fremd's literary magazine and be published!
Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers	Entry Information	April 15, 2011	Each participant may submit a total of three works --- either poems, stories, essays, or any combination (1,500-word limit for fiction and creative nonfiction).
Ayn Rand Essay Contests	Entry Information	April 26, 2011	Enter either Anthem, We the Living, or The Fountainhead contests. Each has multiple topic options; see website for details.
Union League Civic & Arts Foundation's 2012 Creative Writing Competition	Entry Information	June 1, 2012	This year CAF will award up to $13,800 in awards for excellence. In addition to the substantial monetary prizes, this competition is a great opportunity for young writers to get their work noticed.
