Information for the Class of 2016 

L162  French 1  :  Designed for those who have never had French. or who need to repeat it.

L142  French 2 for Freshmen:  Designed for those who have completed 2 years of junior high French with a C or better.  (teacher recommended)

L163  German 1:   Designed for those who have never had German or who need to repeat it.

 L166 Spanish 1:  Designed for those who have never had Spanish!

L164  Spanish 1 Enriched (for those who have had Spanish 1 before) : Designed for those who need remediation in Spanish 1.

L165  Spanish 2 for Freshmen :  Designed for those who have completed 2 years of junior high Spanish with a C or better. (teacher recommended)

L276 Spanish 2 for Native Speakers:   Designed for native speakers to further their native language skills.  (Spanish is spoken at home)

L152  Mandarin 1 (for non-native speakers)  :  Designed for those who have never had Chinese and want only a very basic introduction..  Note:  The  National Defense Institute compares 4 years of Chinese to only 1 and 1/2 years of a European Language.  What you learn in 1 year of a European language takes 3 years to learn in Chinese.  This course is for serious language students.
