Goal setting and decision making are emphasized throughout the course. Numerous activities help the student evaluate their own personal behavior and attitudes. It is recommended that Health be taken during the sophomore year.

Advanced Health is an elective course that is offered to juniors and seniors that presents an in-depth study of current health issues and health careers. The course will focus on health concerns and health promotions. Topics include life skills and health choices; pharmacology of drugs and medicines; and health occupations and careers.

Career Pathway Program Class Calendar 2012-2013
Health Occupations and Medical Terminology is an elective course offered to juniors and seniors that will introduce students to Health careers in the professional setting; through speakers and/or visitations of health care facilities. There will be an emphasis on Medical Terminology.
Prerequisite: P242 Health Education, must be a junior or senior, must successfully completed Algebra 1 and a Biology course at a "C" level or higher, must read near grade level
