Meet the coaches.

Coach Yates

(Varsity)

This is Coach Yates' 6th season as girls varsity coach. Prior to leading the girls program he worked as an assistant at Fremd in the boys program.



He was MSL West Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season at the conclusion of the 2010-2011 season.

Coach Yates has been a head coach in downstate Illinois and in Arizona. He is a graduate of Elmhurst College and St. Edwards High School in Elgin.


Coach Townsend

(Varsity Assistant)

This is Coach Townsend's fourth season as varsity assistant. He and Coach Yates previously worked together in the boy's program. Coach Townsend also coached boys and girls at Palatine High School where he was head girl's coach.

Coach Townsend is a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Indiana and Randolph Southern Jr.-Sr. H.S. in Lynn, IN.


Coach Hernandez

(Frosh A)

This is Coach Hernandez' 5th year on the girl's coaching staff. This year Coach Hernandez will be working on the freshmen level after successful years with the sophomore group.

Coach Hernandez is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Wauconda High School. In high school in was a standout basketball, baseball and soccer athlete.


Coach Han

(Soph)

This is Coach Han's 4th year working with the girl's program. He previously volunteered time in the boy's program. This will be his first year as sophomore coach.

Coach Han graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He is a 2001 graduate of Schaumburg H.S. That year he helped lead the Saxons to the IHSA state basketball championship.


Coach Robinson

(Frosh B)

This is Coach Robinson's 4th year coaching at FHS. Prior to coming to Fremd, she coached at Rolling Meadows High School. Coach Robinson is a graduate of Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL where she was twice voted to the 1st team All-Conference basketball team. As a graduate of Palatine High School, she played basketball and was voted Honorable Mention All-State her senior year.
