SATURDAY, MARCH 21 Afternoon 160 passengers depart out of Chicago O’Hare aboard… Evening 160 passengers arrive in Honolulu Upon arrival - Receive a fresh flower lei greeting in the baggage claim area after arriving in Honolulu 9:45 PM Board motor coaches & depart for an area hotel The Pacific Beach Hotel - 2490 Kalakaua Ave. Honolulu 10:15 PM Check-in to the hotel - Private nighttime security at the hotel (10:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) -
SUNDAY, MARCH 22 8:00 AM Walk over to Perry’s 8:15 AM Enjoy a buffet breakfast at Perry’s Morning Walk over to Catamaran Cruise 9:30 am Enjoy a Catamaran Cruise (30-40 people per boat) 10:30 am Enjoy a Catamaran Cruise (30-40 people per boat) 11:30 am Enjoy a Catamaran Cruise (30-40 people per boat) Afternoon Enjoy a little free time at the Beach! TUESDAY, MARCH 24 6:20 AM Walk over to Perry’s 6:30 AM Enjoy a buffet breakfast at Perry’s (casual clothes) 7:30 AM Load motor coaches and depart for Pearl Harbor Home to the final resting place for the USS Arizona and many of the 1,177 crewmen who lost their lives on December 7, 1941. View the film: “Pearl Harbor Story” 8:45 AM 1st group of 59 view the movie 9:00 AM 2nd group of 59 view the movie 9:15 AM Remainder of the group view movie Afterwards Board the Navy Launch to visit the resting place of the U.S.S. Arizona. 10:30 AM Walk over to the U.S.S. Bowfin At the Pearl Harbor’s U.S.S. Bowfin, we’ll go below deck to wind our way through the narrow compartments where the Bowfin’s crew worked, ate and slept though nine harrowing war patrols. You will learn about the Bowfin, which served with great distinction in WWII and earned her nickname “The Pearl Avenger.” 11:00 AM Fremd H.S. Concert Band Performance at U.S.S. Marches in the Prince Kuhio Parade Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole was born on March 26th 1871, in Koloa, Kauai, the youngest son of Kauai High Chief David Kahalepouli and Princes Kinoki Kekaulike. He is known as the “The Citizen Prince”, a well educated sportsman and statesman. Prince Kuhio served as a U.S. Delegate to the Congress, and was responsible for creation of the Hawaiian Homes Commissions Act, which provided homesteads for the native Hawaiians. Prince Kuhio passed away in January 7, 1922, at the age of 51. Prince Kuhio Day is a formal state holiday in Hawaii. 6-9:00 PM Prince Kuhio Moonlight Concert at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.
