Presenting Team Findings
As a group, you must decide how you will present your findings regarding the PBL to the rest of the class. Be creative! Each member of the group must have an active role in the presentation. Below is a list of ideas that your group may consider:
An infomercial
An art exhibit (exhibiting all charts, and data)
Audience Participation
A television newscast
A video presentation
Role play
Video the answer finding process, and explain your findings as the video plays (Documentary).
Presentation Pointers:
- Speak clearly, and audibly
- Organization is the key- Be Prepared!
- Use notes or note cards
- Practice
- Make eye contact with the audience
- If using video, make sure it is in focus
Preparing Your Portfolio:
As you make your way through the PBL, it is a good idea to keep and organize all of your findings, research, data and graphs. At the completion of the PBL, you will be required to hand in a cumulative portfolio. Keeping a three ring binder is an easy and ideal way to stay organized. Items to include in your portfolio:
- Organize into sections:
Internet sections
Activity worksheets
Charts, graphs, etc.
Resource information
Interview questions/answers
Personal favorite activities
- Make sure your portfolio is neat and legible
- Make sure all work is complete and organized
