FIELD TRIP -

 Writing Assignments

Culture Projects - A REMINDER - keep all ticket stubs and/or other proof of attendance - You MUST turn in a reaction paper within 7-10 days of having attended your Culture Project event!

Read the following for an idea as to what to write for your Culture Project!

Above all, I want your reaction paper to reflect what you learned, what you experienced and how it connects to AP European History

What I am looking for in a reaction to a movie is 1) A synopsis of the movie - give me the details, the plot, the action etc. 2) What did you learn?

For a restaurant I am looking for a 1) History of the actual restaurant - the region of food in which they specialize. 2) Describe the decor with attention to the atmosphere the restaurant is attempting to create. 3) Describe the food you ate and in detail - how it looked, the taste etc. I want to have an idea of what your experience was.

For all other field trips that involve historical sites or museums I want you to concentrate on what you were visiting, what you saw, and then on what you learned, making a connection back to AP European History.

Movie written assessments should include a brief synopsis of the movie - background plot - as well as description of the period it is set in and then your analysis - "What did I learn?"  What I am looking for in a reaction to a movie is 1) A synopsis of the movie - give me the details, the plot, the action etc. 2) What did you learn?
