American Studies - Periods 1 & 2 - 5 & 6 Room 129
Culture Projects
Students MUST complete ONE culture project per quarter. An additional culture project may be completed for extra credit.
Below is the wikispace link for you and your group mates to sign up for your Progressive Project. Once in the wikispace site, you will need to request to me to join. Once you have joined, you can then "Edit" to submit your name next to the topic of your choice. DO NOT write over another person's name when choosing your topics.

MOVIES-
REMINDER - keep all ticket stubs and/or other proof of attendance - You MUST turn in a reaction paper within 7-10 days of having attended your Culture Project event!
If Movies are Rated R, then you MUST have parent permission. We do NOT require these movies, they are approved, WITH parent permission.
Movie written assessments should include a brief synopsis of the movie - background plot - as well as description of the period it is set in and then your analysis - "What did I learn?"
What we are looking for in a reaction to a movie is 1) A BRIEF synopsis of the movie - give us the details, the plot, the action etc. 2) What did you learn?/What connections were there in the movie to American Studies? -either/or both English and History.
