Mr. Zacharia is a graduate of Maine East High School in Park Ridge, IL.

and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he double-majored in History and American Studies. During high school he was active in debate and band/orchestra, and during college he played trumpet in the Northwestern University Marching Band (N.U.M.B.) and participated in various service and religious activities. 

Mr. Zacharia is currently the Head Coach of the Debate Team and a Social Studies Club co-sponsor. To make sure he gets as little sleep as possible, Mr. Zacharia recently earned an MA in Liberal Studies from Northwestern and is now taking more graduate classes in School Leadership at Concordia University Chicago.

When not speaking in the third person, Mr. Zacharia watches too much TV news and has an unusual (and potentially unhealthy) obsession with the shows Chicago Tonight, 60 minutes, and CBS Sunday Morning. He is also a huge fan of Community, Modern Family, The Office, and The West Wing.
