- EXPLORE-All
incoming 8th grade students will take this test on December 5. This
test is used to help determine placement in Math, Science, and English.
- PLAN-All
sophomores will take this test on October 14. This test is considered
a "Pre-ACT" and evaluates college readiness in English, Reading, Math and
Science Reasoning.

PSAT-The
Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test will be administered on October 14 to
some sophomores and many juniors. The test provides firsthand
experience for the SAT and also gives juniors the chance to gain
National Merit scholarship
money. The test measures critical reading skills, writing skills and
math problem solving skills.

PSAE-The Prairie State
Achievement Exam will be administered to all junior students on April 28 and
29. The first day of the test is an ACT with Writing. The second
day is the ACT
WorkKeys. The two day test is used for State of Illinois High
School Assessment.
- Junior-level students should also register for the
ACT
or SAT tests during this year.

online. Please consult with your counselor to determine which tests are
