$10,000 Raffle at Dinner Dance

Come join the fun and share in the $10,000 raffle prize sponsored by the Fremd High School Viking Booster Club during its 15th annual Dinner Dance and Auction to be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Last year, the 450 Dinner Dance guests helped the Boosters provide over $77,000 to fund many requests made by different clubs, sports and activities in which Fremd students participate. These are perks they would not otherwise have been given without the donations from the Booster Club.

Through all its fundraising endeavors, last year the Boosters raised over $150,000. That money funded the school’s post prom, scholarship program, established the cardio workout room, funded Writer’s Week, supported the school musicals, purchased the freshman assignment notebooks, as well as supported many other clubs and sports teams.

This year’s Dinner Dance is being held at the beautiful Meridian Banquets located on Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows. The Booster Club is asking for $175 a couple ($137.50 single) to attend the event, which automatically places the recipients in the $10,000 raffle. If supporters would like to purchase just a raffle ticket, the price is $100.

The live and silent auctions are made up of fabulous gift items that are generously donated by Fremd families and many Palatine, Barrington, Arlington Heights, and Schaumburg area businesses. Prior year’s live auction items included exclusive golf packages, sporting event tickets, theater packages, a private dinner party, use of vacation homes in great locations, and the ever popular Fremd parking pass!

The Dinner Dance committee needs lots of volunteers over the next two months to continue the success of the event. The committee welcomes any donations.
