Sarah Alban was selected for the All-State Journalism Team, the highest honor awarded by the IJEA.

Columbia Scholastic Press Association (National Competition)
Gold Medal for the overall newspaper with All-Columbian honors in coverage and graphic presentation (The Logue has received Gold Medal awards four out of the last five years.) Two students also won individual awards in the Gold Crown competition, which receives thousands of entries from high schools across the country.

Illinois Women's Press Association
- 1st place sports photo ("Block Party") - Angie Serviss

- Honorable mentioned news article ("Controversial poster removed from cafeteria") - Sakura Robles
- Angie then went on to win Honorable mentioned in the national competition.


Northern Illinois Press Association:
The Logue was awarded the Golden Eagle, top honors, in our division.

- The Logue was ranked 6th out of 250 eligible Chicagoland high school publications
- Sarah Alban and James Kuo received 2nd place for in-depth newswriting

2004-05

Columbia Scholastic Press Association
-The newspaper received a Gold Medal Certificate, top honors, for the third year in a row.
-Gold Circle Awards (This CSPA competition receives over 9,500 high school and middle school submissions):

-Senior Alex Inman won 3rd place for his news feature "The day the music didn't die"
-Senior Aren Thompson and '04 graduate Parag Gupta took honorable mention for their front page design of the 2004 senior issue


National Scholastic Press Association
-Received the top honor rating, All American, with marks of distinction in four of the five possible categories. (Marks of distinction for coverage and content, writing and editing, layout and design, and leadership)
-This was the first time we received an All American rating in this national competition.

-Sophomore Julie Kim took second place, news writing
-Sophomore Sarah Alban took third place, news writing
